What better way to send wedding day wishes to a special daughter than in the form of a 3 tier Wedding cake (Wedding Extra Special). I made this for a friend to send to her daughter and new son in law. This is the Third of this type of card I’ve made following the wonderful instructions from Srushti Patil on her fabulous youtube channel. Srushti patil youtube For this extra special version I used white double sided pearlescent card stock for the base cake and also for the embellishments but coloured to match the wedding theme with blue distress inks, I also used silver mirror card stock for the flower stems and sentiments. Though no dies were used in the actual Cake construction, I did use a set of hexagon dies to cut the lid mat, the top of the top tier of the cake and the base of the cake. I also used the following dies to decorate the cake, lid and bellyband:- Spellbinders Shapeabilities Dies, Etched Alphabet, Spellbinders Sentimental Ampersand small dies of the month January 2023, Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms Dies, Kit n Kaboodle scalloped hearts dies, , Creative Craft Products Die & Stamp Sets various sentiment snipped, Card Making Magic Alphabet and overlay dies and small stand die from the Tonic shadow Box Creations Die set 1635E. I Added white gross grain ribbon to finish off each tier.
