This was a special Wedding Cake keepsake card made for my sister’s wedding. As you will see from the pictures, she is an exceptionally talented cake artist. She made and iced her own wedding cake. The cake echoes design elements from her dress and the colours of the wedding flowers. She has created all of the elements on the cake including, incredibly, the life like roses. I used a ‘Scary Mary’ Celebration Cake kit and, though the cake is a different shape, I tried my best to incorporate the same design elements and also link in the cycling theme of the wedding. I have to say I just loved doing this, though trying to ruffle 300gsm pearlescent card stock was definitely a challenge. For further details of the dies used, just click on the pictures.
