These were the special cards I made to send to my own family last Christmas. They are A4 folded in half lengthwise so are quite tall and definitely have mantlepiece appeal. I opted for the same design for all of these but varied the colour scheme. I made eight of these in total, 2 in each colour. I used the Hot Off The Press ‘Vintage Christmas’ CD Rom at 50% transparency and various dies including: Sizzix Framelits Die Set 4PK – Stars, Primitive, Spellbinders – Shapeabilities – Layered Poinsettia, Memory Box Chloe stem die, flourish die from LR0116 – Marianne Creatables set, Spellbinders Die Foliage and Tattered Lace Let It Snow Die Set. The background papers were inked around the edges, then stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder using snowflake stamps from cover gift with issue 100 of Creative Stamping magazine. I used pearlescent and texture metallics card stock, nuvo drops, sparkly gem stones and gem stone brads to add a luxurious finish.
