Summer’s great for card-making, there’s lots of celebrations,
With birthdays, births and Baptisms, weddings and confirmations.
And not forgetting Father’s Day, which always comes in June,
Then if we want to get in front, we’ll start Christmas cards soon.
Though most of us card- makers never need a special reason,
To craft away the hours, no matter what the season.
Yes stamping, sticking, colouring, die cutting and creating,
And buying new materials can be exhilarating.
While many folk are sunbathing and topping up their tan,
I’m busy in my craft room making all the cards I can.
